Thailand Apr 12-23, 2025 (April 16)

April 17

Today was a weird day. I'm running out of decent clothes haha. I don't really like the clothes that I brought weirdly enough. Maybe I just think I look bad. Idk. So today I washed a shirt that I wanted to wear today. It took forever to dry. In the meantime I consumed some good old fashioned anime.. and maybe wrote a little? I went to Fashion Island. A big beautiful mall. My anxiety was high as hell lmao. I walked around the whole mall. My goal: to obtain food. What a silly goal. I got to the 4th floor, sat down, and chilled on my phone until I got the courage to go to the office, books, gifts store across the way. I was reminding myself of the Thai I know and just how to do things. After maybe an hour of waiting I went. I walked around the little store a ton. I checked out the pens, books, Pokemon cards.. everything. I snagged two cute pens, and three books that I cannot read lmao. Whenever I learn a language I think to myself "reading a book in that language would be a good way to practice", so that is what I'm going to do with Thai. So now we needed to build ourselves to checkout. But I didn't have any gifts for anyone! That was kind of the point for this trip.. to obtain gifts. So I saw the Pokemon cards and thought of Layton. The problem? They were locked behind glass.. So here we are building ourselves up to interact with the cashier. I look up how to say "I need help with the Pokemon cards". That sentence is kind of tough in Thai, so what do I do? When the cashier comes I say Pokemon cards in Thai and it clicks with her. I obtain the Pokemon cards for Layton, go to checkout, and everything is smooth.. until she tells me how much it costs. I don't know my numbers in Thai lmao, so she shows me the calculator. I pay and everything is solid. My next goal? It's my main goal of this outing.. obtain food haha. So I walk around and find a Sukiya. Fast Japanese food. I'm way to nervous for an actual sit-down restaurant. So here we are, sitting on a bench building myself up. After awhile I go to Sukiya and the lady speaks English to me lmao. It was easy enough to get food. So now I have my comfort spots. Tomorrow I want to go to this place called Daniel Thaiger. It's a bit of a ways away. I could get a grab taxi and go there, but I kind of want to go on the bus. It'd be a 2 hour or so ride, so that's something. Oh, I also want to get clothes and more gifts, so Fashion Island part 2. I also need to hit 7-11. We'll see what happens.

April 16

Today I walked around a lot. My plan was to hit up this place called Dripper Peace Cafe today. It's a little cafe in this neighborhood in Bang Chan. The neighborhood seems kinda on the poor side? But it looked like a really cute cafe. Highkey got nervous when I got there though and ended up just walking through the neighborhood. I saw a lot of cute little cats around the neighborhood which was really cool. I love how there are shops like the cafe just randomly placed in the neighborhood. I ended up walking back to my hotel to kinda cool off. It's hot as shit here. Oh and as I was walking back I got waved at by these guys on a moped. 100% they saw a white guy and got hella excited for some reason haha. I loved it. It made me really happy tbh. I was going to have a drink at the cafe and write my letter to Deens, but that didn't end up happening. I thought about going to this cafe in the panya market, but I didn't end up doing that. I'll probably do that tomorrow or something. Instead I got back to the hotel and wrote the letter there. When I was done I ended up leaving to walk to Deens' house. I saw she was golfing on the gram which is hella cool. She probably looks so freaking cute in her golf fit. I'm jealous of whoever got to golf with her. But on my way to Deens' house there is a golf course. Next time I'm here I'm going to bring my clubs and golf for sure. I passed a 7-11 and thought I'm def going to hit that on the way back. I've been practicing my Thai a lot more, so I'm feeling somewhat comfortable with the basics of the basics. The walk to Deens' place was like an hour long walk. I didn't 100% know if it was her place. I thought to myself "if there is a 5/70 then it's hers for sure" haha. The other concern was she lives in a gated community with security. I got there and security was sleeping lmao. Maybe it's lax? Idk. There were a ton of beautiful homes. Her house is MASSIVE and absolutely GORGEOUS. I put the letter and gift in her mailbox. Highkey the mailbox was kinda weird though lmao. Hopefully someone finds the goods. I walked back, took a bunch of pictures, and ended up hitting that 7-11 up. We successfully bought things which was dope haha. I got back to my hotel and passed out hard. I slept from like 8-12 and stayed up the whole nights. My sister's been calling me a lot this trip. I didn't tell anyone I was coming here, but I told her everything. She wants to start coming on my solo trips. She's def jealous I'm here haha. That's kinda all for the day tbh. I think Ima hit fashion island tomorrow. I need FOOOOOOOD.
